Liu Shiling, styled Baiming, master of Fenghua Garden, academician of the Chinese Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, member of the Hebei Artists Association, and member of the Hebei Calligraphers Association.Born in1962,a native ofTianjin.Enlisted in1978,served in the military for21 years,engaged in cultural propaganda work in the army.Currently works at the Hebei Juvenile Offenders Correctional Facility.
In2003,began professional painting research, studying under renowned artists Ci Xu, Wang Shunxing, Zhou Guangsheng, Zhou Zhan, among others. Primarily focusing on flower-and-bird paintings, also exploring landscape painting and calligraphy, with particular excellence in sunflower paintings. His sunflower artworks are praised for their free-spiritedness, grandeur, and vitality. The famous artist Jia Dayan gave high praise in the Yan Zhao Evening News, and his works have been widely acclaimed by peers and art enthusiasts alike, with many winning awards in various competitions.
In2008,won the gold award in the National Youth Calligraphy Copying Competition, and donated artwork in the charity sale event of "One Hundred Hebei Painters and Calligraphers" for disaster relief, receiving special honors.In2009,participated in the large-scale exhibition celebrating the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and received an award;in2010,his works were included in the book "Huihao Pomo Song," and the same year his works were included in the "Hundred Painters and Calligraphers Hundred Buddha Masterpieces Collection";in2011,he received an exhibition award in the"Tianyanshan Cup National Painting and Calligraphy Works Competition."In2011,he won an excellence award in the"Chengjingyi Prosperous Age Artwork China Painting and Calligraphy Competition."His paintings are widely collected and purchased by people from home and abroad.
