Personal Profile
       Lei Mingsheng, Manchu ethnicity, styled Tianyi, and known as the Master of Shanxing Hall. Born into a scholarly family in the ancient city of Kaifeng, he was immersed in calligraphy from childhood under the artistic influence of his father, practicing daily without interruption. Later, he received meticulous guidance from his elder brother, Professor Lei Mingdong, a renowned contemporary Chinese calligrapher and painter. His works have been selected multiple times for national, provincial, and municipal art exhibitions and have won awards; they have also been successfully exhibited and auctioned both domestically and internationally. His artworks are collected by numerous institutions and friends at home and abroad, and he frequently participates in public welfare and charitable activities.
       Currently, he serves as Vice President of the Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute of China Cadres (Net), Director of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, Deputy Director of the Art Development Center of the China Township Association under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Director of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, and Member of the Council of the Chinese Academy of Sinology and Calligraphy. He is also a member of the Calligraphy Association and a registered calligraphy artist in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s Artistic Talent Database. In 2011, his works passed the qualification review and value assessment by the Art Appraisal Committee of the Market Development Center under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China, and an appraisal certificate was issued.
        His life motto: Cultivate broad virtuous connections and accumulate goodness to achieve moral excellence.
        His lifelong goal: To tirelessly strive for the inheritance and development of traditional Chinese culture.
