Personal Profile

Yang Guobao, male. Also known as “Painting Narrates National Treasures.” Born in Zhengzhou in 1962. Graduated from the Art Department of Henan University; currently serves as Executive Vice President of Henan Yellow River Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Honorary President of Henan Guan Gong Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Academician of Henan Zhongyuan Feng Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, and Director of the Art Committee of the Henan Branch of the Chinese People's Academy of Painting, among other positions. Joined provincial and municipal art associations in the 1980s. Member of Henan Packaging Technology 555 Association. Has long been engaged in packaging design and advertising design. In recent years, he has focused on traditional Chinese painting, creating a large number of works in various styles. Currently, his works mainly center on the national treasure—the panda—as well as bird-and-flower paintings and other styles, forming his own distinctive artistic style. His panda-themed national treasure paintings have received widespread acclaim and admiration, earning him the reputation as a masterful “panda painter.” He is often called “Guobao Painting National Treasures.”
