Liu Jianli
Personal Profile
Liu Jianli, native of Henan Zhengzhou, graduated from Zhengzhou University and furthered her studies at the Advanced Research Class of Painting and Calligraphy at Tsinghua University Academy of Arts, as well as the First Advanced Research Class on Buddhist Figure Painting in Chinese Gongbi Heavy-Color Style. She studied under Jiang Caiping, Guo Zhengmin, Li Jianshe, and others. Currently, she is a member of the Henan Provincial Artists Association, a painter at Zhongyao Painting and Calligraphy Academy of Henan Province, a member of the Henan Women Photographers Association, a member of the Zhengzhou Women’s Painting and Calligraphy Association, and a full-time painter at the Beijing Modern Collection Art Museum.
Her work "Echoes of the Empty Valley" was selected for the 19th Henan New Artists Exhibition in 2014;
Her work "Everything as Desired 1" was selected for the 2015 Henan Bird-and-Flower Painting Art Exhibition;
Her work "Everything as Desired 2" was selected for the 20th Henan New Artists Exhibition in 2015 and awarded an Excellence Prize;
Her work "Everything as Desired 3" was selected for the 14th Henan Chinese Painting Art Exhibition in 2015;
Her works participated in the 4th Beijing Modern Collection Art Museum Gongbi Heavy-Color Bird-and-Flower Painting Exhibition in 2015;
Her work "Auspiciousness in All Things" was selected for the 21st Henan New Artists Exhibition in 2016 and awarded an Excellence Prize;
Her works participated in the First National Touring Exhibition of Gongbi Heavy-Color Buddhist Figure Paintings held in Beijing and Wuxi in 2016;
Her work "Abundance" was included in the textbook "Techniques of Chinese Heavy-Color Painting" for higher art academies in 2016;
Teacher Liu Jianli has developed a unique teaching methodology in the field of traditional Chinese painting enlightenment education for youth. Her students have achieved outstanding results in the International Children's Painting and Calligraphy Competition and the Global Children's Painting and Calligraphy Competition, winning multiple gold, silver, bronze, and excellence awards.
She was awarded the “Gold Medal for Youth Traditional Chinese Painting Education Mentor” by the Organizing Committee of the International Children's Painting and Calligraphy Competition.
She was awarded the “Bronze Medal for Children's Art Education Achievement” by the Organizing Committee of the Global Children's Painting and Calligraphy Competition.
In the China Youth Art Talent Selection Activity, she was awarded the “Outstanding Art Tutor of Henan Province” by the Baihua Yingchun Organizing Committee.
In June 2019, she successfully organized the “First Liu Jianli Students’ Genius Cup Chinese Painting Competition” specifically for her students in the Zhengzhou High-Tech Zone!
