 Yan Futao, pen name Yan An, also known as Yijie Jushi and Faqing Jushi, is a native of Luyi, Henan, born in 1980. He developed a passion for painting since childhood and has never ceased practicing brushwork. He studied under Lin Xinchuan (disciple of Wang Geyi), Mei Qilin (council member of the Chinese Artists Association), as well as Buyi Hongjun and Tang Li—professional painters from the Beijing Painting Academy. He has explored landscape painting, flower-and-bird painting, and calligraphy, participated in numerous national art exhibitions, and his works have been collected by multiple art institutions. He currently serves as a member of the Tianjin Artists Association, a member of the Henan Branch of the China Artists Association, Art Director of Hanmo Lanting Art Gallery, Art Director of Beijing Yayixuan Art Institution, General Manager of Tianxia Daoshang Culture Development (Beijing) Co., Ltd., and Chairman of the Luyi Beijing Chamber of Commerce.   Graduated from the Printing Technology program at the Printing College in 1999 Graduated from the Graphic Design program at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2000 In 2016, “High Sky, Dusk, and Deep Cold Mountains” was selected for “Ink Painting Qingzhou 2016 National Chinese Painting Exhibition” In 2016, “Autumn on the Plateau” was shortlisted for “Auspicious Grassland • Painting Deer City — 2016 National Chinese Painting Exhibition” In 2017, “Tranquil Lotus” was shortlisted for “The First China (Ningbo · Beilun) Youth Lacquer Painting Exhibition” In 2018, “All Things Renewed in Spring” was selected for “Chinese Painting Exhibition Commemorating the 120th Anniversary of Zhou Enlai’s Birth”
