Liang Feng, male, styled Lengbing, known as Master of Liangfeng Hall, also styled Shaxiang Hermit, member of the Communist Party of China, born in May 1952 in Kaifeng, Henan. Formerly employed by the Yellow River Institute of Hydraulic Research, Yellow River Conservancy Commission, Ministry of Water Resources, he served as Director of the Party and Mass Work Department, Director of the High-tech Center, Deputy Director of the Institute Office, Principal Division-level Researcher, Vice Chairman of the Institute Trade Union, and Senior Political Work Specialist. He is now retired. Concurrently, he is a member of the Henan Calligraphers Association; member of the China Hard Pen Calligraphy Association; Director and Deputy Secretary-General of the Yellow River Calligraphers Association; calligraphy instructor at Yellow River Elderly University, etc.He has loved painting and calligraphy since childhood and is proficient in all five script styles: regular, running, cursive, clerical, and seal. He excels particularly in running script and regular script. He studied under the contemporary renowned calligrapher Mr. Wang Cheng. His regular script follows Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan; his running script follows the Two Wangs; his cursive script emulates Huaisu; his clerical script adheres to Zhang Qian; and his seal script studies Yi Sun. Based on the Two Wangs’ running script, he further studied the styles of Wang Duo and Mi Fu, achieving a graceful, dynamic, and varied composition. His seal carving follows the Qin and Han traditions.
