Personal Profile
Wu Tianguang, styled Hanzhao, born in 1946, is a native of western Henan, born into a scholarly family. He has loved calligraphy and painting since childhood, first studying Wei stele scripts, then learning from the Two Wangs, and in his later years focusing on Mao Zedong’s calligraphic style—particularly achieving remarkable success in capturing the spirit of cursive script within Mao’s running-cursive style. He currently serves as President of the Qi Gong Calligraphy and Painting Academy and Chairman of the Central Plains Mao Script Research Association. Some of his works have been purchased and collected by domestic and international collectors.
