    Cui Mingzhou, male, Han ethnicity, born in 1963 in Lankao, Kaifeng, Henan. Currently a member of the Chinese Leadership Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, Vice President of the Chinese Moyuan Traditional Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute, consultant of Beijing Oriental Art World, Honorary Vice President of the Chrysanthemum City Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Vice President of Huaiyang Hongru Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Vice President of the Dunfu Calligraphy and Painting Research Association of Kaifeng City, member of the Kaifeng Municipal Artists Association of Henan Province, Standing Director of the Kaifeng Hard-pen Calligraphy Association, member of the Lankao County Artists Association and Calligraphers Association, Director of the Weishi County Artists Association, National First-Class Artist, and member of the China Artists Association.
    Cui Mingzhou has been passionate about calligraphy and painting since childhood. In 2000, he studied under the peony master Sun Yude, diligently researching and practicing without pause, gradually developing his unique artistic style. His artworks depict the vast landscapes of China, traversing deserts and frontiers; his paintings stand as lofty and profound as mountains, as vast and boundless as oceans. His works have been exhibited in numerous domestic and international exhibitions. In 2018, his piece "Flowers Bloom in Prosperity" participated in the "Mulan" Cultural Festival in Italy, receiving an honorary certificate and being collected by the Italian government. In 2018, he won an Excellence Award in the Wang Dachang "Qingxiang Xue" National Calligraphy Competition. From 2016 to 2018, his works received honorary and collection certificates at the Henan Daguang Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition. In 2018, he received honors and a collection certificate at the Lankao County Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition commemorating the 55th anniversary of Jiao Yulu's passing. In 2019, he was selected to participate in the CCTV Variety Show Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition. In April 2019, his work was selected for the 24th Henan Provincial Art Festival. In February 2017, he was honored as an Influential Chinese Painter. He has repeatedly participated in domestic and international exhibitions, receiving numerous honorary and collection certificates. In 2019, he participated in the First Classic Family Precepts Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition in Huaiyang, China, with his work collected by the Hongru Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
    Cui Mingzhou has been immersed since childhood in the spirit of Jiao Yulu, always remembering the principle that art should serve society and the people’s livelihood. He actively participates in public welfare activities, voluntarily donating calligraphy and paintings dozens of times, earning widespread praise from all sectors of society. His works and charitable deeds have been reported by multiple news media outlets.
    With oars raised high, navigating the art boat through waves, mastering both soft brush and hard pen, Cui Mingzhou has devoted over 30 years to calligraphy and painting, diligently cultivating his craft, absorbing diverse influences, widely learning and gathering inspiration, and persistently seeking artistic advancement. His artworks have gradually developed a style characterized by profound simplicity, grand rustic charm, and sincere tranquility. His works are fluid and expansive, exuding grace and magnanimity, revealing a lofty artistic state through deep ink and brushwork. He enjoys a certain reputation in the calligraphy and painting circles, fully demonstrating his solid foundational skills, contemporary aesthetic sensibility, and exceptional artistic level.
