 Hu Jingde, styled Moyuan, also known as Yuchen and Qingyun, or alternatively called the “San Yuan Hermit.” Born in 1953 in Chenzhou, Henan. Passionate about painting and calligraphy since childhood, later studied Chinese painting under Master Luo Jingquan. Holds a university education and is a research fellow.  Currently a member of the International Federation of Artists, member of the China Artists Association, Calligraphers Association, and Poetry Association, Chinese member of the China-U.S. Calligraphers and Painters Association, research fellow at the China Academy of Art, senior painting researcher at the Dadi Calligraphy and Painting Institute of Farmers’ Daily, member of the World Zen Buddhism Calligraphy and Painting Association, academician of the Beijing Huaxia Guocui Culture Research Institute, and artist at the Cultural and Art Research Center of Shenzhou University. Specializes in traditional Chinese painting including figures, landscapes, and birds-and-flowers; also fond of calligraphy, poetry, history, and literature. His works have been exhibited, published, awarded, and collected both domestically and internationally.
