 Zhang Lizhi, pen name Yiren, was born in 1959 in Dan Cheng, the hometown of Gui Guzi Wang Chan and known as China's hometown of calligraphy and the place where Laozi practiced alchemy.

In recent years, Mr. Zhang Lizhi has participated in numerous national painting and calligraphy competitions and won various awards.
In 2013, he won the second prize at the 2nd Dan Cheng County Peasant Calligraphy Competition;
In September 2014, he was awarded a shortlisted prize at the First Donghua Xi Cup National Standard Large-Character Calligraphy Exhibition hosted by the Chinese Giant-Character Calligraphy Research Association;
In 2015, he won the second prize at the 3rd Dan Cheng County "Wanyang Cup" Peasant Calligraphy Competition;
In 2016, he won the second prize at the 8th Cross-Straits Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition and was awarded the honorary title of "Cultural Envoy for Cross-Straits Painting and Calligraphy Exchange";
In 2018, he was invited to participate in "Dance China Enters Hong Kong," and his works were collected by the Cultural Commission of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region;
In May 2019, he ranked first in the "First Xinzong Culture Media Calligraphy Art Cup – Search for the Most Popular Calligrapher" competition;
In 2020, he received an Excellence Award at the "Mo Yun China Cup" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition;
In October 2020, he was awarded the Gold Prize at the "Mo Yun Zhonghua" National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition.
Mr. Zhang Lizhi began studying calligraphy in childhood, following the traditions of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi. Later, he deeply studied the essence of Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan, Ouyang Xun, and Zhao Mengfu, practicing diligently day after day for decades without interruption, eventually achieving mastery. His works excel in running and regular script, with strokes vivid and penetrating; the composition is elegant, graceful, and naturally spirited. Viewing his works evokes a sense of emotional freedom and powerful momentum, clearly reflecting the artistic spirit of Wang Xizhi! His works have frequently been presented as "state gifts" to foreign ambassadors in China, business elites, and international friends. His artworks have also been collected by the Cultural Commission of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
In recent years, the market value of Mr. Zhang Lizhi’s calligraphy works has continuously risen, showing significant potential for appreciation.
