 Han Weiye, a painter, is currently a National First-Class Artist, member of the Henan Provincial Artists Association, member of the Henan Provincial Chinese Painting Association, an accomplished young painter, director of the China Celebrities Calligraphy and Painting Association, member of the Central Government Agencies Artists Association, and full-time painter at the China Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute. His father-in-law is Xiao Yanqing, a renowned Chinese painter specializing in tigers. Han Weiye developed a deep love for painting from childhood under the influence of his family, demonstrating innate artistic talent and passion. After graduation, he studied painting under his father-in-law Xiao Yanqing, and received guidance from masters Xie Chengxiang, Liu Jibiao, as well as renowned painters and former chairmen of the Artists Association Liu Dawei and Feng Dazhong. His representative works include “One Hundred Tigers,” “One Hundred Tibetan Mastiffs,” “One Hundred Horses,” “Tiger on the Attack,” “Father’s Love as Steadfast as a Mountain,” “Amusing Scene,” and “Spring Romance.” He specializes in meticulous brushwork (gongbi), focusing on animals and beasts, figures, birds and flowers, feathers, and Buddhist images.
