Personal Profile

Xu Zhen, born in July 1967, is a member of the China Democratic National Construction Association. She has loved painting since childhood. She graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department of Anyang Institute of Technology in 1990 (Mechanical Engineer), and later graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Anyang Normal University in 2004. Holding dual university degrees, she specializes in traditional Chinese meticulous and freehand brushwork, particularly peony paintings, developing her own distinctive artistic style. Her works have been exhibited in numerous major art exhibitions and received widespread acclaim. She is one of the "Eight Friends of Shencheng." Currently, she serves as Director of the Hai Shang Guoxue Painting Academy, Shanghai Huaxia Calligraphy and Painting Academy Secretary-General, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Hongxing Painting Academy, and currently General Manager of Shanghai Yanyu Decoration Engineering Co., Ltd.
