Li Yanbin, styled Runqing, and known as the Master of Changhuai Residence. Born by Donglin Lake in Xingyang, Henan, he has loved calligraphy since childhood. In the past two years, due to having more free time after work, his pursuit of calligraphy has intensified. He excels in regular script and clerical script, initially studying “Xuanmi Pagoda Stele” and “Qinli Stele,” later focusing primarily on “Jiucheng Palace Stele,” supplemented by “Huang Ziyuan’s Ninety-Two Methods of Character Structure.” For clerical script, he studied “Cao Quan Stele” and “Yi Ying Stele,” whose character compositions are gracefully staggered, emphasizing rules and elegance. Li Yanbin’s works have been exhibited multiple times at calligraphy and painting exhibitions hosted by provincial and municipal cultural centers, libraries, and township cultural stations. He won the Outstanding Work Award in the First “Calligraphy Impression” Cup National Calligraphy and Hard-Pen Calligraphy Competition. He received the Second Prize in the Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition Celebrating the Minority National Games and the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. He also received the Second Prize in the Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the Motherland, among others. His work “Pi Rixiu · Pomegranate Song” was collected by the Cultural Center. On December 22, 2019, he was invited to become a member of the Calligraphy and Painting Column Review Committee of the national journal “China Economic & Trade Magazine,” among other honors.
