Yan Yueqin

Yan Yueqin, born in 1965 in Xinzheng, Henan—the birthplace of the Yellow Emperor—is currently a member of the Henan Provincial Artists Association. Influenced by her surroundings, she has loved painting since childhood. In 2016, she met the renowned painter Liu Jianmin and became his disciple, honored to be accepted as his formal indoor student. She has always adhered to her teacher’s teaching: “Upright character, dignified painting style.” After five years of dedicated study at the “Liu Jianmin Calligraphy and Painting Research Institute,” she became a professional painter, specializing in peonies. Her works “Spring Intoxication” and “Only the Peony Is Truly the National Beauty, Stirring the Capital When in Bloom” have won excellence awards!
