Han Yigao, male, from Wolong Town, Yongcheng City, Henan Province. Member of the Chinese Hard Pen Calligraphy Association, Member of the Chinese Calligraphy Association (Hong Kong), and Certified Instructor for Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Grading! Based on absorbing predecessors’ experiences, I follow ancient traditions while pioneering innovations, emphasizing brushwork and character structure through “angular arcs, extension and retraction, bias and emphasis, smoothness and resistance, strength and softness, spirit and subtlety, and continuity and pause.” Papers such as “Copying with Intention, Shaping with Thought,” “A Brief Analysis on Brushwork and Character Structure Regarding Angular Arcs, Extension and Retraction, Smoothness and Resistance, Strength and Softness, Bias and Emphasis, Spirit and Subtlety, and Continuity and Pause,” and “Three Essential Guidelines for Reading, Tracing, and Copying Calligraphy Models” have received enthusiastic study and praise from peers!
