Personal Profile
Zhang Xiaolin was born in 1954, a native of Linzhou City, Henan Province, styled Tiedian, Zimo Dao, and Huachannal person. She learned art from her father since childhood, later apprenticed to veteran painters Yin Shoushi, Guan Songfang, Pu Songchuang, and He Jinghan at the Beijing Academy of Painting. After many years of effort, she has developed her own unique style in painting and calligraphy.
Currently, she is a National First-Class Artist and National First-Class Calligrapher. Vice Chairman of the Chinese Art Research Association, member of the Chinese Couplet Society, council member of the Artists Association of the World Federation of Literature and Art, Standing Committee Member of the National Famous Artists and Calligraphers Association, Council Member of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, Council Member of the Chinese Artists Association, Council Member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, Council Member of the Chinese Traditional Culture Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Association, Academician of International Jiuzhou Maple Forest Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, and specially appointed painter and calligrapher by China Art Network.
Artistic Achievements:
In 2012, her painting and calligraphy work "Red Flag Canal" won the gold medal at the national “Double Hundred” Famous Artists exhibition and was collected by the "APEC China Art Museum".
In June 2015, her artworks were exhibited in Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore, Canada, Australia, and other countries.
In 2017, she was included in the "Selected Collection of Chinese Art" (published by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Publishing House).
In 2019, she was included in the "Great Dictionary of World Artists" (published by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Publishing House).
In 2008 and 2013, her painting and calligraphy works were auctioned in Guangzhou and Hong Kong, with all proceeds donated to disaster-stricken areas and Hope Primary Schools.
Over several decades, she has created more than ten thousand ping chi of painting and calligraphy works, among which over four thousand ping chi are themed on the Red Flag Canal.
