Personal Profile
Li Dongzhou, male, native of Yucheng County, Shangqiu City, Henan Province, holds a bachelor’s degree, retired education official with intermediate to senior professional title.
Has loved calligraphy and painting throughout his life; began by studying regular script, then practiced clerical script, while also painting traditional Chinese paintings. His calligraphy and painting artistry are locally renowned. In 2019, he was honored to join the Shangqiu Yunhe Calligraphy and Painting Academy upon introduction by the Secretary-General. Under the guidance of the academy’s president and teachers, and through his own insight and creativity in calligraphy, his artistic skills have greatly improved. His calligraphy works have been repeatedly exhibited and awarded in national calligraphy and painting competitions.
Personal Honors
In June 2020, won the Bronze Award in the 3rd “New Era” National Poetry, Calligraphy, Painting and Seal Carving Competition.
In August 2020, won the Bronze Award and received an honorary certificate in the 11th “Moyuanbao Cup” Calligraphy and Painting Competition “Ink Conveys Love • Overcoming Hardship Together”.
In 2020, won the Silver Award in the “Sihai Cup” Overseas and Domestic Poetry, Couplets, Calligraphy and Painting Invitational Competition.
In 2020, his clerical script calligraphy work “Northern Scenery” won the Gold Award in the National Calligraphy and Painting Competition Commemorating the 127th Anniversary of Chairman Mao’s Birth, and an honorary certificate was awarded on-site at the award ceremony.
Currently serves as: Academician of Shangqiu Yunhe Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Member of China Senior Calligraphers and Painters Association.
