Sun Wenjie, courtesy name Shiya, pen name: Xiangmo, male, Han ethnicity, born in 1962, native of Yucheng, Henan—the hometown of Cangjie. Graduated in 1985 from the School of Culture and Arts, Henan University.
Has loved calligraphy throughout his life, sought instruction from many masters, and rapidly improved his skills. In 2020, he became an academician of the Shangqiu Yunhe Calligraphy and Painting Academy. His mentors include: Mr. Jin Wandong, council member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, president of Shangqiu Yunhe Calligraphy and Painting Academy, one of China’s Six Great Literary and Art Masters, nationally recognized virtuous and talented artist, honorary chairman of the World Association of Literary and Art Entrepreneurs, guest professor at Beijing University, and winner of China’s 2021 “Golden Horse Award” for Art; Mr. Wu Shidong, member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association; and Mr. Tang Ruichen, member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association.
Currently holds the following positions:
