Yu Huiyong, male, born in December 1975 in Changge, Henan. He studied calligraphy and painting since childhood and majored in design art in Zhengzhou, Henan. In 2007, he moved to Beijing. Diligent and eager to learn, he specializes in freehand-style flower-and-bird painting, focusing particularly on freehand grapes, while also painting peonies and other subjects of traditional Chinese painting. Grapes, a beloved fruit, are also a popular subject among painters, symbolizing abundant harvest, prosperity, fertility, and auspiciousness. His painting style integrates the characteristics of masters such as Su Baozhen, Wang Qihua, and Wang Chengxi, forming his own distinctive artistic expression. His works have been exhibited and awarded in numerous large-scale calligraphy and painting exhibitions at provincial level and above. He is a contemporary Chinese painter recognized for his artistic strength and is currently a member of the Henan Provincial Artists Association and the Calligraphers Association, as well as an academician of the Beijing Jinzhengde Academy of Calligraphy and Painting and the China Huayi Academy of Calligraphy and Painting.
