Personal Profile

Zhao Guoyi is from Hailun City, Heilongjiang Province. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Beijing Normal College. He is a member of the China Artists Association. He serves as a professor of Chinese painting and master's supervisor at the School of Fine Arts, Harbin Normal University, and is also the Dean of the School of Art at Harbin Far East Institute of Technology, a researcher at the Heilongjiang Provincial Political Consultative Conference Academy of Painting, and an artist at Liu Dawei’s Chinese Painting Studio. He currently resides in Beijing. Since 2015, he has been a specially appointed professor and director of the Zhao Guoyi Ink-and-Wash Figure Painting Creation and Research Studio at the Renmin University of China Academy of Fine Arts, and a mentor at the Art Training Center of the School of Art, Renmin University of China. He is also a council member of the China Great Wall Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, a council member of the China International Friends Association Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, and vice president of the Beijing Beiguo Feng Academy of Calligraphy and Painting.
