Zhang Chengsheng
Personal Profile
Zhang Chengsheng (Cheng Sheng), male, Han ethnicity, born in August 1964, joined the military in 1983, and joined the Communist Party of China in 1985. He has served in various positions including soldier, clerk, projectionist, artist, political instructor, researcher, political commissar, secretary, deputy director, political commissar, deputy minister, minister, and director of a training base. Currently serving as Deputy Commander of the Heilongjiang Provincial Border Defense Corps with the rank of Senior Colonel. He is currently a member of the China Calligraphers Association and Deputy Secretary-General of the China Painting and Calligraphy Art Committee.
Main artistic activities:
◆ Joined the China Calligraphers Association in 1991
◆ Won the first prize at the International Painting and Calligraphy Exposition in 1992
◆ Published "One Hundred Ancient Poems in Running Script by Zhang Chengsheng" in 2005
◆ Went twice to Sichuan for earthquake relief in 2008, and published "Shock—Zhang Chengsheng's Poems and Lyrics on Earthquake Relief"
◆ Published "A Record of Warnings on the People-Loving and Border-Strengthening Strategy" in 2010
◆ Elected as a delegate to the 6th National Congress of the China Calligraphers Association in 2010
◆ Held the exhibition "Ink Dancing at the Frontier, the Chinese Spirit" featuring calligraphy and seal carving works by Zhang Chengsheng and Bao Shouhua at the Heilongjiang Provincial Library in 2015
