Zhou Guangjun
Zhou Guangjun, formerly known as Zhou Yong, developed a deep passion for art from an early age under the influence of the renowned local calligrapher Jia Jifu. He later studied classical styles, beginning with Ouyang Xun, Wang Xizhi, and Zhao Mengfu, diligently practicing calligraphy until he gradually developed his own unique artistic style. His running script works are graceful and lively, with a strong and elegant momentum, characterized by free yet steady and fluid brushwork. His regular script combines roundness and angularity, with vigorous, precise, and meticulously structured strokes; compact yet open in spacing, balanced yet unexpectedly dynamic. His works fully demonstrate profound traditional painting and calligraphy skills while integrating modern aesthetic sensibilities, endowing his creations with powerful artistic appeal. His works have been collected by numerous art museums and individuals. A good artist must be multi-talented, drawing nourishment from diverse art forms and integrating them for personal expression. Music plays a vital role in my life.
