Personal Profile

Zhang Huayun, male, was born in Harbin in 1949. He developed an early interest in painting and calligraphy under the influence of his ancestors. After graduating from the Chinese Painting Department of the Harbin School of Fine Arts, he furthered his studies at the China Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University. He has participated in numerous exhibitions, with his works published in elderly newspapers and the Calligraphy Newspaper. He has received the Advanced Individual Award from the China Culture Center and the Calligraphers Association. Currently, he serves as Vice President of the Heilongjiang Province Farmers Calligraphers Association, President of the Farmers Branch of the Heilongjiang Province Elderly Painters and Calligraphers Association, and Director of the Farmers Branch of the Harbin Daowai District Painting and Calligraphy Academy. He is a National First-Class Artist, member of the Heilongjiang Provincial Calligraphers Association, member of the Heilongjiang Provincial Artists Association, member of the Harbin Municipal Calligraphers Association, member of the China Elderly Painters and Calligraphers Research Association, member of the Heilongjiang Elderly Painters and Calligraphers Research Association, and member of the China Farmers Painters and Calligraphers Association.

Awards and Honors He has participated multiple times in national and provincial painting and calligraphy exhibitions, winning awards; he has been selected and won awards in two consecutive Heilongjiang Provincial Exhibitions.
