Chen Guosheng, also known as Master of Huiyun Hall, was born in 1971 in Guangzong County, Hebei Province. He is currently a member of the Hebei Calligraphers Association, Vice President of the Taihang Painting and Calligraphy Academy of Hebei, Vice President of the Cai Feng Painting and Calligraphy Academy of Hebei, Vice Chairman of the Calligraphy Education Branch of the Hebei Association for Traditional Cultural Education, Standing Director of the Hebei Painting and Calligraphy Art Research Association, Director of the Hebei Painting and Calligraphy Art Research Institute, Standing Director of the Hebei Hard-Pen Calligraphy Association, Standing Director of the Hebei Mao-style Calligraphy Research Association, Consultant of the Hebei Cultural Celebrities Public Welfare Alliance, and Special Painting and Calligraphy Artist of the Hebei Disabled Entrepreneurs Foundation. He is also a contracted painting and calligraphy artist for over 50 websites, including China Painting and Calligraphy Trading Network and Yibao Online. His works have been selected for exhibitions such as the National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China, the Yu Youren Cup National Calligraphy Exhibition, the Hebei "Yanzhao Style" Calligraphy Exhibition, and the Hebei "Anti-Corruption" Calligraphy Exhibition. He has received awards including the Outstanding Award in the National Mao-style Calligraphy Competition Commemorating the 120th Anniversary of Chairman Mao’s Birth, the First Prize in the Hebei Calligraphy Competition Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Shijiazhuang’s Liberation, the First Prize in the Hebei "Rule of Law Cup" Calligraphy Competition, the First Prize in the First Hebei Cultural Feng Award, and the Second Prize in the Hebei Provincial People’s Congress "Urban Construction, Environmental Resources Photography and Calligraphy Competition." Starting in 2013, China Post successively issued eleven postal commemorative collections featuring the series "China’s Contemporary Top 100 Painters and Calligraphers — Chen Guosheng," including postage stamps and postcards. His calligraphy works have been exhibited in exchanges in the United States, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other regions, and have been engraved at the Korean Confucius Inscription Forest and the Henan Yellow River Inscription Forest. He has inscribed stone carvings and plaques for scenic spots such as Tiantai Mountain, Fenglong Mountain, Chengde Xinglong Caves, and Hengshui Lake. His calligraphy works and theoretical articles have appeared in publications such as China Painting and Calligraphy News, Youth Calligraphy News, Calligraphy Guide, Hebei Economic Daily, Hebei Workers Daily, Hebei Political and Legal Daily, Yan Zhao Evening News, Hebei Contemporary Painting and Calligraphy, and Hebei Painting and Calligraphy Research.
