Wang Tiansheng, courtesy name Kuncheng, Dharma name Shanye Xuezi, male, Han ethnicity, born in 1956, from Shijiazhuang, Hebei. He was a graduate student in the Department of Philosophy at Beijing University, Class of 1988, and received his Master's degree in Philosophy in 1991. Influenced by his parents, he has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood; at the age of seven and a half, his first class in regular script using a brush pen was praised by his teacher. His calligraphy style is rooted in Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan, with equal emphasis on Ouyang Xun and Zhao Mengfu, and primarily inspired by Wang Xizhi in running and cursive scripts. He has participated in numerous competitions and won many awards, receiving numerous honors. In 2015, his work "Standing in the East" was collected by the Administration of the Great Hall of the People, and he was rated as one of the "Top Ten Calligraphy and Painting Masters with the Greatest Investment Value in China in 2015," "2015 Chinese Art Peak Figure," and "Belt and Road · World Cultural Contribution Figure." His personal achievements have been included in the "World Biographical Dictionary."
