Dai Zizhong, pen name Langren, male, Han ethnicity, born in March 1953, originally from Hebei, and a resident of Dalian, Liaoning. Currently serves as Vice Chairman of the China Calligraphers and Painters Association, Vice President of the Beijing Huaxia Lanting Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, President of the Liaoning Jindun Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, Council Member of the China Contemporary Calligraphy and Painting Masters Association, National First-Class Calligrapher, and First-Class Artist. At age sixteen, he enlisted in the military and served as a guard soldier in Beijing, joining the Communist Party of China the same year. In 1975, he was selected by the military to study at the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Peking University, graduating in 1979. After graduation, he worked at the Publicity Department of the Liaoning Provincial Committee. Later, he worked at the Liaoning Science and Technology Daily, Liaoning Economic Daily, and Liaoning Theoretical Circle Magazine. In 1995, he was appointed Director of the China Social Survey Liaoning Investigation Institute.
