Han Guiyu, professional painter, was born in 1968 in Huailai, Hebei Province, and is a member of the Hebei Branch of the China Artists Association. He graduated in 1991 from the China Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University with a major in Chinese painting. In 2007, he studied at the Advanced Research Class of Chinese Painting Creation at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, under the tutelage of Professors Shi Guoliang, Tang Yongli, Su Baijun, and Cui Xiaodong, systematically learning figure, landscape, flower-and-bird painting, fundamental composition, and theory. He also received valuable guidance from Professor Wang Shujie, Dean of the Education College at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and his mentor Kou Yuepeng. He was fortunate to receive direct instruction from the renowned painter Liu Kening, which greatly benefited him.

Han Guiyu loves life and is deeply attached to nature. He has consistently pursued plein air sketching, traveling extensively throughout China’s mountains and rivers. With a solid foundation in traditional brushwork and ink techniques, and strict adherence to artistic principles, his works exude vitality and gradually evolved into a distinctive personal artistic style.

In 2002, his work "First Snow" won the Silver Award at the 7th Contemporary Calligraphy and Painting Invitational Exhibition.

In 2004, his work "Huanglong Mountain Villa" received the Excellent Award at the 5th China Calligraphy and Painting Masters Grand Prix, and also won the Third Prize in the Youth Category of the 2nd China Youth Calligraphy and Painting Competition.

In 2005, his work "Care" was collected by the Dong Cunrui Memorial Hall in Longhua County.

In 2007, his work "Huo Qubing" was collected by the Huailai Dong Cunrui Memorial Hall.

In 2008, he became a specially invited painter of the China Calligraphy and Painting Creation Academy and held his solo exhibition at year-end.

In 2009, his ink painting "Huanglong Mountain Villa" was selected for the Hebei Province Outstanding Works Exhibition of the 11th National Art Exhibition.

Ink painting "Going Home" was exhibited in the Central Academy of Fine Arts Alumni Exhibition.

Ink painting "Huanglong Mountain Villa" was selected for the national calligraphy and painting exhibition "Celebrating National Unity - Commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the CPPCC," hosted by the People's Political Consultative Conference Daily.
