Zhang Liangwei, style name Mo Yi, is from Longyao, Hebei. He has been obsessed with calligraphy since childhood, practicing relentlessly through all seasons, day and night; he initially studied regular script under Yan Zhenqing, later followed Ouyang Xun and explored other masters of regular script, and devoted himself to running and cursive scripts inspired by the Wangs (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi) and Mi Fu. He had the privilege of being taught by the renowned calligrapher Tian Yingzhang and particularly enjoys copying the works of the contemporary master Ouyang Zhongshi.   His works have won numerous awards nationwide. Since 2006, he has won awards in over ten national calligraphy competitions. During the 2008 Olympic Games, he successfully participated in the "Hundred Masters Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" at Beijing Capital International Airport, receiving the Elite Award. His works have been included in the "Collection of Contemporary Calligraphers" published by Henan Fine Arts Publishing House and compiled into the "Biographical Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese Calligraphers." His works have been selected multiple times for exhibition in Japan, Singapore, the United States, France, the Philippines, and other countries.He is currently an Honorary Academician of the China Famous Artists Calligraphy and Painting Academy; a Council Member of the Meiting Cultural Academy in Langfang, Hebei; and a Calligrapher of China's Influential Brand.
        In November 2017, he became a Featured Artist of the Australia Sydney China Calligraphy and Painting Network.
