Personal Profile
Zhang Zhaokai, born in 1979, holds a junior college degree and is from Lincheng, Hebei. He has studied under Liu Jinkai, Vice Chairman of the China Calligraphers Association, and Kou Xuechen of the China Calligraphers Association, and is a direct disciple of Huang Xianlü, a member of the China Calligraphers Association and a calligraphy and painting theorist. He specializes in seal script, clerical script, and seal carving.
Member of the Hebei Provincial Calligraphers Association, member of the Xingtai Municipal Calligraphers Association; Second Prize in the Hebei Province Staff Online Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition; Bronze Award in both Seal Script and Clerical Script categories at the 2016-2017 Weipaitang "I Have Craftsmanship" Competition; exhibited in the Xingtai Municipal Exhibition Commemorating the 90th Anniversary of the Founding of the PLA in 2017. His works have been auctioned and collected by calligraphy enthusiasts and benefactors in more than 20 provinces and municipalities nationwide.
