Personal Profile
Guo Yu Ming, originally from Handan, Hebei Province, is known by the art names Beiguo Yishi and Mochi Shanren. He is the founder of Guoti Calligraphy, the founder of Excellence Successology, and the first person in China to innovate Mao-style calligraphy. He serves as Executive Chairman of the International Federation of Literature and Arts, Executive Director of the International Masters Academy of Painting and Calligraphy, and Founding President of the Guozǐ Calligraphy and Dao Institute. Master Guo was born in Daming County, Handan, and currently resides in Beijing. He is a renowned writer, thinker, speaker, poet, and master calligrapher. He began practicing calligraphy at the age of eight and has spent decades studying and copying the masterworks of历代 calligraphers, winning numerous awards in various calligraphy competitions.
Through years of research, he has perfectly integrated traditional Chinese Confucian, Buddhist, and Taoist culture with Tai Chi health practices, architectural aesthetics, structural mechanics, human science, movement aesthetics, and calligraphic form art. Employing a six-dimensional thinking model encompassing philosophy, science, mechanics, aesthetics, human energy theory, and visual psychology, he creatively pioneered a unique, world-shocking new artistic and health discipline—Guoxue Tai Chi Wisdom Health Calligraphy, commonly abbreviated as [Guoti Calligraphy].
This achievement fills a void in the field of artistic and health disciplines both in China and worldwide, its significance comparable to an “atomic bomb” in the art world. For this reason, Master Guo has been hailed by the media as the “Founding Sage of Calligraphy.” His works are collected and highly acclaimed by notable figures including Li Na, daughter of Chairman Mao Zedong; Mao Xinyu, Mao’s grandson; Yuan Cunjian, former aide to General Zhu De; Sun Xiaohua, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce; and Shan Jixiang, former Director of the Palace Museum.
