Liu Mindong, Han ethnicity, born in 1968, is a native of Julu County, Hebei Province. He has loved painting since childhood and early on attended art training classes at the county and city levels. Later, he became a disciple of Li Chunzao, a master of traditional Chinese painting renowned as the "Contemporary Shrimp King," specializing in painting shrimps. His works have received unanimous acclaim from art enthusiasts across the country and are collected as keepsakes. In 2018, his artwork was exhibited during the 69th anniversary celebration of the founding of the Communist Party, where it was well-received and collected. His pieces "Dragon Soaring with Good Fortune" and "Nine Dragons Emerging from the Sea" were included in publications of famous contemporary calligraphy and painting collections. He currently serves as Vice President of the China Folk Art Exchange Association, is a member of Beijing Xuanhe Art Academy, and an invited painter at Hebei Ink Rhythm Calligraphy and Painting Institute.
