Personal Profile

Yuan Lingjin, styled Lingjin, is the master of Xinyuan Pavilion. Born in Cangzhou in 1981, he has been passionate about fine arts since childhood, specializing in meticulous-style figure and flower-bird paintings. Over the years, he has been engaged in various art-related activities. During his studies and professional journey, he had the privilege of meeting Master Chen Jinsheng, a renowned painter from Cangzhou, and learned from him the freehand technique of painting peonies, which he later integrated into his depiction of court ladies. He also received meticulous guidance from Master Feng Yupo, former president of the Canghai Calligraphy and Painting Academy in Cangzhou. His works have developed a distinctive style: the meticulous brushwork is steady and precise, with rigorous composition; the freehand inkwork flows smoothly, appealing to both refined and popular tastes. He is especially skilled in creating court lady paintings, and his works have been exhibited, awarded, published, and collected by numerous art enthusiasts across the nation.
