Liu Yafeng

   
      Liu Yafeng, male, Han ethnicity, CPC member, born in 1972, from Anguo, Hebei, is currently a member of the Municipal Calligraphy Association, a member of the China Calligraphy Masters Association, a academician of the Beijing Contemporary Institute of Painting and Calligraphy, and a first-class calligrapher. In 2017, he was rated as a person of influence in Chinese painting and calligraphy.
　　Influenced by his family, he began practicing calligraphy and painting from childhood. During his youth, he enlisted in the military, and his calligraphy and painting works won multiple awards during his service. The six years of military life greatly enhanced his skills in calligraphy and painting. After retiring and returning home, he won the first prize in the city's calligraphy competition, the second prize in Hebei Province, the silver award in the Second "Hanmo Shengshi Cup" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition, the first prize in the 13th "Ba Yi Cup" National Calligraphy and Poetry Competition, and the silver award in the First "Belt and Road" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition. His work was awarded the special prize and collected in the Seventh "Moyuanbao Cup" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition themed "Dreaming of the Chinese Dream."
　　In 2018, he won the gold award in the "Wanhua Yingchun" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition and was honored with the title of "Wanhua Artist." He received an excellence award in the Second "Xizhi Art Cup" China Painting and Calligraphy Competition and the gold award in the "Jinding Art Award" National Painting and Calligraphy Competition. After more than thirty years of diligent study, persistent practice, and extensive visits to and consultations with renowned masters across the country, his calligraphy has developed a unique style—grand and elegant, particularly his clerical script, which is ancient, refined, and imbued with a strong contemporary spirit, bearing the spiritual essence of the modern clerical script master Liu Bingsen. His published works have elicited strong reactions both domestically and internationally, possessing extremely high collection and artistic value. His calligraphy embodies his tranquil, detached, serene, and leisurely spirit, embracing the universe, highlighting the beauty of Chinese characters, and forming a distinct personal artistic style!
