Wei Jiajia
Personal Profile
Wei Jiajia, also known as Wei Jia, is a member of the Ji School Internal Painting Association, a member of the Snuff Bottle Professional Committee of the China Arts and Crafts Association, and a Hebei Provincial Folk Artisan. In 2001, she was introduced to internal painting and began studying under Master Guo Qingliang. By a fortunate coincidence, in 2015, she had the honor of becoming a disciple of the renowned internal painter Master Dong Xue, further deepening her studies. Over the past decade of engaging in internal painting, she has explored subjects ranging from flowers and birds to figures. Her works are rooted in tradition, emphasizing the fluidity of brushwork and the expressiveness of ink tones, with meticulous yet lively brushstrokes that strive for a serene, tranquil, and profound aesthetic, earning her great appreciation among collectors. Her internal painting piece "Six-Piece Set of Landscape: Tea Horse Ancient Road" won an award at the Hengshui Vocational College Internal Painting Skills Competition. Her creation "China's Counterattack" does not depict dramatic battle scenes, but instead portrays urgent military marches, steadfast defense, longing for loved ones, and warm scenes at sunset, capturing the hardship, resilience, and determination of Chinese soldiers guarding the southern border in the 1970s and 1980s. In 2016, she participated in the Outstanding Young Artists Special Exhibition at the Hangzhou Art Fair. In 2017, she took part in the "Meeting in Qingzhou" Invitation Exhibition of Chinese Painting Masters. In 2018, she received the Excellent Work Award at the Hebei Provincial Artists Association's New Artists, New Works Exhibition.
Wei Jiajia will continue to "roll up her sleeves and work hard" in her future internal painting art, creating even more beloved works.
