Liu Qingyue, born in 1985 in Wuyi County, Hengshui City, developed a deep passion for painting from an early age. Driven by this love for the art of painting, he enrolled at Hengshui Advanced Vocational and Technical School in 2001 to study inner painting; in 2002, he furthered his studies at Xisan Academy; in 2013, he became a disciple of Master Jiang Wenchang; and in 2017, he studied under the master of inner painting, Dong Xue. He excels in rendering various detailed-style animals, traditional Chinese ink paintings of divine dragons, landscapes, and other subjects. His artistic attainments are profound, his techniques comprehensive, his style distinctive, and his approach uniquely personal. His masterful artworks are intellectually profound, evoking deep and expansive atmospheres, with bold and spontaneous brushwork and ink application. His major representative works include the detailed-style series "Fortunate Dog Welcomes the Gate" and "Elders and Cats," the divine-themed works "Divine Figures Riding Dragons," "Subduing the Dragon Arhat," and "Nine Dragons," as well as landscape pieces such as "Stepping Through Snow to Seek Plum Blossoms" and "Autumn Mountain Visit to a Friend."
