Li Zhe, male, styled Benzhen, pseudonym Xuandao, of Korean ethnicity, born in August 1962, currently resides in Hebei Chengde City. Graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts. National First-Class Artist, member of the Artists Association, Vice President of the Qingyun Hanhai Calligraphy and Painting Academy in Beijing, Director of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art Federation, Director of the Hebei Luanhe Culture Research Association, and Researcher at the Lanting Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Institute in Henan. Formerly served as a fine arts creator at the Navy Political Department, studied successively under Navy painter General Zhou Yongjia and renowned painter Wang Shenglie. Specializes in oil painting, traditional Chinese painting, figure painting, and landscape painting. For over thirty years, he has persistently practiced and diligently researched, exploring various artistic styles; on the basis of inheriting traditional painting techniques, he continuously explores innovation and has developed his own distinctive style. His works have been exhibited multiple times in military-wide and nationwide exhibitions and have won numerous awards. They have also been published in newspapers and periodicals such as the PLA Daily, People's Navy Newspaper, Chengde Daily, Yanshan Literature, Hebei Luanhe Culture Research, and Urban Time, and compiled into the “Li Zhe Sketch Album.” His paintings are collected by individuals and art institutions at home and abroad, including North and South Korea, as well as art museums.
