Personal Profile
Chen Boqi, styled Beiji Dinggong. Born in September 1978 in Langfang City, Hebei Province, he is a contemporary internationally influential avant-garde artist. He has attained remarkable accomplishments in the fields of prose and poetry, calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, seal carving, and design, and is highly esteemed by renowned contemporary artists. His personal achievements have been honored by authoritative domestic institutions with titles such as “Outstanding Figure of the People’s Republic,” “Pioneer of Chinese Industries – Red China Movement,” “Outstanding Youth of Our Village” by Hebei Province, and “Advanced Individual in Rural Culture” by Langfang City. His artworks have been exhibited hundreds of times in major national exhibitions organized by authoritative government institutions including Xiling Seal Engravers’ Society, China Calligraphy and Painting Newspaper, Ministry of Culture, Communist Youth League Central Committee, China Writers Association, China Artists Association, China Calligraphers Association, and China Zen Poetry Calligraphy and Painting Academy. His works are collected by more than 500 domestic and international cultural and museum institutions, including Hong Kong Mass Charity Association, Belgium-China Cultural Exchange Center, Western Returned Scholars Association, Wu Daozi Art Foundation, Chinese Dragon Culture Association, and World Chen Clan Cultural Exchange Association. Currently, he serves as a council member of the China Contemporary Artists Association, a registered teacher of the China Calligraphers Association, and a member of the 5th Committee of Guangyang District, Langfang City, Hebei Province, Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He is a contracted artist with Calligraphy Network Mopin Customization and Beijing Yiyi Space. He currently resides in Songzhuang, Beijing.
