Name: Chen Jinqiang
Stage name: Mochen. Courtesy name: Daidong.
Born in 1977 in Cangzhou, Hebei Province, he has been fond of art since childhood and self-taught in calligraphy. In 2001, he officially began learning Chinese painting of flowers and birds from a local master, Mr. Chen Jinsheng. Later, he studied under the renowned Chinese artist Mr. Xing Shujuan. During this time, he received guidance from numerous senior teachers and was also mentored by many famous artists. His works have made some achievements and have been exhibited, won awards, and published nationwide.
With more and more honors, I chose to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the secular world and devoted myself to careful study and creation. After continuous efforts, my painting skills have improved further.
In 2013, I began studying meticulous brushwork on raw rice paper for animals, abandoning what I had learned over the past decade and starting from scratch. During this period, I received guidance from many renowned masters of meticulous animal painting in China. My works of lions, tigers, snow leopards, Tibetan mastiffs, etc., have gradually matured, with proficient brushwork, delicate style, elegant tone, and profound artistic conception. These works have been collected by collectors and enthusiasts from all walks of life.
2016 was the luckiest year for me. I met the renowned Chinese painter Mr. Tang Jian and became his disciple to learn higher-level techniques. Grateful for Master Tang Jian's teachings and meticulous guidance on the techniques of meticulous fierce beasts, my works have improved rapidly under his personal instruction. My relentless efforts are because I want to prove my initial choice with my whole life.
