Personal Profile
Chang Yan, styled Ruo Shui. Born in 1969 in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. She is currently a member of the Hebei Artists Association, a national first-class artist, a member of the International Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Association of Hong Kong, an artist member of People's Artists Association, a contracted painter of People's Artists Association, a contracted painter of Phoenix Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and a contracted painter of Ai Yi Network. She has participated in numerous art exhibitions and won awards. Her works have been collected by many institutions and individuals. Ms. Chang Yan has a particular fondness for grapes. She learned from Mr. Yang Ming, the founder of "Yang Style Grapes". Mr. Yang devoted himself to studying various artistic styles of Chinese painting grapes, while also drawing on some Western painting techniques. He combined the freehand style of Chinese painting with the colors and perspectives of Western paintings, constantly exploring, summarizing, and integrating the strengths of others to create his own unique painting style. Chang Yan has fully inherited Master Yang's painting techniques, and added her own understanding and insights. Her grapes are rich in texture, crystal clear, smooth and lustrous, with appropriate shades of color. In her paintings, grapes, which symbolize auspiciousness, good fortune, prosperity, and perseverance, resemble a simple and serene village maiden stepping out of traditional Chinese poetry. They appear confident yet modest, shy yet open. She stands out uniquely in the local art circle. * * * Cancel
