Xu Ruiming and his silk paintings: Silk painting, also known as silk cloth painting. Silk painting originated in the middle period of the Warring States in the State of Chu (present-day Jingzhou City in Hubei Province was the capital of the State of Chu at that time), with a history of about 2,300 years; it reached its peak during the Western Han Dynasty and disappeared in the Eastern Han Dynasty.
