Wang La Zao, born in 1955 in Youwei Village, Dingzhou City, pen name Shitao, has been passionate about calligraphy since childhood. He began learning calligraphy under teacher Zhang Mengchun during elementary school, and later studied the Cao Quan Stele, Zhang Qian Stele, Liqi Stele, Yiying Stele and other stele rubbings with Beijing calligrapher Bai Liujun. He received high recognition from Liu Jinkai, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, and was further guided by calligrapher Zhao Heng. He won the third prize in the National Calligraphy Miniature Works Competition. His works have been exhibited on a provincial tour and have won multiple awards. He currently serves as Director of the Dingzhou Calligraphers Association and President of the Dingzhou Wenbo Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
