Zhang Ruifeng, male, styled Yixiang, born in 1943, is a native of Guangzong County, Xingtai City. He is a professional painter and calligrapher. Passionate about painting and calligraphy since childhood, during the Cultural Revolution, he was mentored by Mr. Zhou Binggong, one of the "Three Workers" from Beijing, and began painting oil portraits of Chairman Mao. Later, he received focused training under Professor Meng Fanzeng, achieving academic success and developing a distinctive personal style in his painting techniques and artistic expression. His calligraphy and painting works have won gold awards at national exhibitions for middle-aged and elderly artists, and have been included in the large-scale collection "Ink and Brush Commemorate Great Leaders"; they have also been collected by the organizing committee of the Guanyin Mountain Health Culture Festival. His works have been appraised by the Huawen Oriental Art Authentication (Beijing) Center: the appraisal value is 800 RMB per square foot for calligraphy,and 1000 RMB per square foot for traditional Chinese painting. Especially in recent years, with the continuous enrichment of life experience and extraordinary diligence, the visual impact of his works has reached a refreshingly novel effect.
