Wang Zhaolong, Master of Meixiang Pavilion, was born in 1963 in Hebei Hengshui, currently residing in Beijing. He once studied in the Advanced Research Class of Liu Jihong at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. Later, introduced by classmates, he met painters such as Yu Yuanchun, Zhang Baozhu, and Zhao Yong, from whom he greatly benefited, and deeply absorbed the artistic essence of masters like Yu Xining, Wang Xuetao, Guan Shanyue, and Lin Chenghan. His works follow strict traditional methods, convey profound artistic conceptions, and feature delicate brushwork—particularly his plum blossoms and pheasants, which have received high praise and affection from professionals in the field. He is currently an academician of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Deputy Secretary-General of the Beijing World Overseas Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Academy, member of the China-Japan-Korea Calligraphers and Painters Association, member of the Great Wall Chinese Painters Association, member of the Chinese Fan Art Society, full-time painter at the World Overseas Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Academy and the China-Japan-Korea Creation Base, member of the Beijing Xinping Calligraphy and Painting Academy Committee, Director of the Literature and Art Federation of Changping District, Beijing, Council Member of the Artists Association, and member of the Calligraphers Association. His works have been exhibited and awarded in numerous domestic and international exhibitions. Some of his works have been included in publications such as “Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Newspaper,” “Selected Works of China-Japan-Korea Calligraphy and Painting Friendship Exhibition,” “Selected Works of the National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition Commemorating the 90th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC,” “Selected Works of the International Cultural and Art Exchange Exhibition,” “Selected Works of the Great Wall National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition,” and “China City Yearbook.” Some of his outstanding works have been collected by various cultural institutions, entrepreneurs, overseas Chinese, and foreign friends.
