 Han Mei (original name Han Meixi, formerly known as Han Junxi), apprentice of Chinese arts and crafts master Mr. Liu Shouben, member of the China Arts and Crafts Society, member of the Hebei Provincial Collectors Association, member of Hengshui Municipal Artists Association, and member of Hengshui Municipal Female Calligraphers Association.
Born in 1974 in Raoyang County, Hebei Province.
Began practicing inside-painting in 1993, receiving meticulous guidance from renowned inside-painting artist Mr. Liu Hui, and later formally apprenticed under Chinese arts and crafts master Mr. Liu Shouben. She specializes in traditional figures and landscapes, with works primarily based on classical themes, literary allusions, and poetry, exuding rich cultural atmosphere and poetic charm, highly praised by collectors at home and abroad.
From 2013 to 2016, she furthered her studies at Hengshui Vocational and Technical College, learning traditional Chinese painting under the renowned landscape and bird-and-flower painter Mr. Xiong Xiaodong, and made multiple sketching trips to the Taihang Mountains; studied calligraphy under the renowned calligrapher Mr. Wang Fujun.
In 2014, her calligraphy work won the third prize in the Second “Chinese Dream. Integrity Sentiment” Calligraphy and Painting Competition;
In 2019, her inside-painting work “Conversation in a Snowy Hall” won the Silver Award of the “Baihua Cup” China Arts and Crafts Masterpieces Award;
In 2019, her inside-painting work “Mountain Rain Approaching” won the Silver Award at the “Golden Phoenix” Innovative Product Design Competition (Qingdao).
