Personal Profile
Wang Linyu, originally named Wang Mengdi, is the master of Changwu Studio. Born in 1979 in Shenzhou, Hebei. He has loved painting since childhood. In 1998, he studied at Xisan Inner Painting Art School. Afterwards, he began his own career in inner painting, which has lasted for 20 years, during which he received guidance from many renowned masters. From 2003 to 2008, he worked at Apollo Culture and Art Development Co., Ltd., studying under Master Hou Yanbin, a provincial-level arts and crafts master. In 2008, he became a disciple of inner painting master Lu Jiangguang and continued to study the art of inner painting.
His works excel in oil painting portraits, Buddhist figures, as well as traditional Chinese painting subjects such as figures, landscapes, and flowers and birds. His oil painting techniques are delicate and colors richly saturated. His Chinese paintings pursue a fresh and elegant style. He inherits tradition while pioneering new styles.
In 2014, he founded Changwu Studio for Inner Painting, with Master Wang Xisan personally inscribing the studio’s name.
In October 2015, he participated in the apprenticeship ceremony of Master Wang Xisan.
In June 2016, he participated in the Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Inner Painting Fine Art Exhibition.
In July 2016, he participated in the National Touring Exhibition of Snuff Bottle Art organized by the China Arts and Crafts Society.
In December 2017, his work “Ducks Know First When Spring Warms the River” was collected by Hengshui Inner Painting Art Museum.
In December 2018, he participated in the Elite Works Exhibition of Hebei Inner Painting Masters.
Currently holds the positions of:

Member of the Snuff Bottle Research Society of the China Arts and Crafts Society
