Personal Profile
Zhao Haibao, a native of Yi County, Hebei Province, has loved painting since childhood. He graduated from Hengshui Vocational and Technical College and became a student of the renowned painter Mr. Xiong Xiaodong, specializing in landscape and flower-and-bird painting. Under his teacher's careful guidance, he diligently practiced fundamental skills, repeatedly ventured into nature for sketching based on tradition, and summarized experience from these sketches, leading to significant breakthroughs in his creations. His works have been selected and awarded in various national competitions. Currently, he is furthering his studies at the Capital Normal University Art Center in the "Xiong Xiaodong Landscape and Flower-and-Bird Creation Advanced Research Class."
?2018: "A Lotus Pond" was shortlisted for the "Hanmo Qingzhou" National Chinese Painting Exhibition (organized by China Artists Association).
2018: "Ink Wash Lotus Rhythm" won the Excellence Award in the "Hanfeng Tangyun - Ink Chang'an" Chinese Painting Exhibition (organized by China Artists Association).
2019: "Faint Fragrance Drifting with the Wind" received the Excellence Award at the 1st Hunan "Chinese Painting Biennale" (organized by China Artists Association).
2019: "Not Attached to Mud Yet Naturally Fragrant" was selected for the exhibition celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 2019 "Ten Thousand Year Pujiang" National Chinese Painting (Freehand Brushwork) Exhibition (organized by China Artists Association).
2019: "Rain-Washed Green Lotus, Rich in Ink" was selected for the 2nd "Jianghai Gateway Connecting the World" National Chinese Painting Exhibition (organized by China Artists Association).
