Zhang Guangzhi, also known as Jin Kuan, and styled "Iron Pen Veteran Soldier." Member of the Communist Party of China, member of the Hebei Provincial Calligraphers Association, professional first-class calligrapher (master), Vice President of Xinyuan Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and researcher at China Huaxia Poetry, Couplets and Calligraphy & Painting Academy.Born in 1952 in a rural area of Shenzhou City, Hebei Province,served as a soldier, deputy squad leader, and squad leader in the Beijing Garrison Command from January 1969 to March 1975. After demobilization, served as village Party branch committee member, deputy secretary, and militia company commander.Began learning calligraphy with Liu Kai style, later studied Chu and Ouyang styles, became obsessed with calligraphy, dreaming of brush blossoms; practiced basic skills with an iron pen weighing up to six jin. Known among calligraphy friends and comrades as "Iron Pen Veteran Soldier."Received instruction from experts Xiong Jiquan and Zheng Peiliang, and was repeatedly personally mentored by judge Li Baokang, enabling him to follow proper methods and persistently practice calligraphy. Won a silver award in the calligraphy competition commemorating the 100th anniversary of Mr. Qi Gong's birth. His works were selected for inclusion in the Collection of Fine Works by Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Artists, and he has received multiple provincial and municipal awards.
