Personal Profile
Liu Min, has loved fine arts since childhood, nurtured by an artistic environment. She learned the craft of inside painting under the guidance of her uncle Liu Hui, devotedly studying the essence of inside painting and continuously exploring its techniques. With solid foundational skills, her artistry progressed rapidly. Her works embody both form and spirit, with elegant colors. Her brushstrokes emphasize variations in thickness and strength—sometimes short and powerful, sometimes continuous and extended—capable of capturing dynamic movement while preserving intrinsic qualities. Infused with emotional expression grounded in physical form, each piece is profoundly evocative and highly favored by collectors.
In 2005, her work “Night Banquet” was selected for inclusion in “The Illustrated Canon of Chinese Inside Painting.”
Between 2011 and 2014, works such as “Yongle Palace Murals,” “Sixteen Arhats Paying Homage to Guanyin,” and “Three Heroes Battle Lü Bu” were successively included in “The Illustrated Canon of Ji School Inside Painting” and “China’s Snuff Bottle Elite Exhibition,” winning multiple awards.
In 2018, her masterpiece “Fahai Temple Murals” was exhibited in the “Harmony of Heaven and Man” Fine Inside Painting Exhibition and was acquired by a collector at a high price.
In 2019, she collaborated with Li Rushen, a prized disciple of Master Wang Xisan, on “Havoc in Heaven” from the Journey to the West series, which received high praise from collectors.
