Yang Liu: Style name Erpin, Courtesy name Mochi Long, Senior Inspector, currently a member of the Chinese Artists Association, Deputy Director of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Research Committee, winner of the Medal of Outstanding Achievements in Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Arts, and an artist listed in the National Golden Tripod Artistic Masters List. Born in 1965 in Weixian County, Hebei Province, graduated from the Fine Arts College of Hebei University in 1984. Since childhood, he has studied painting under his father's teacher Shengchen Shi. In school, he learned from Han Yu, Hongbin Xu, and Gaotao Liu. He once studied in the research office of Professors Fang Zengxian and Yao Youduo. In 2009, he became a disciple of Master Duziling. Member of the Hebei Branch of the Chinese Artists Association, member of the National Public Security Literature and Art Federation, evaluation and appraisal committee member of China Guardian (Beijing), assistant instructor at Jia Guangjian's studio of the China Painting Academy, fellow of Jingwang Painting Academy, specially appointed painter at Tangfeng Art Museum in Beijing, president of Dayun River Calligraphy and Painting Academy, vice president of Handao Calligraphy and Painting Academy in Shanghai, researcher at Gulou Museum in Tianjin, and vice president of Zhende Calligraphy and Painting Academy in Hebei Province. Won first prize in the Hebei Youth and Children's Painting and Calligraphy Competition in 1977. Participated in the National Graduates' Works Exhibition (Military Museum of Beijing) in 1984. Participated in the First Art Exhibition of Today Art Museum (Beijing) in 2005. Participated in the Joint Exhibition of Contemporary Outstanding Middle-aged and Young Chinese Painters in 2009. Participated in the Horizon Art Exhibition (Shanghai) in 2010. Participated in the "Five Friends' Journey" National Touring Exhibition (Jia Guangjian, Liu Quanyi, Zhang Yuhua, Li Xiaozhu, Yang Liu) in 2014. Participated in the Second National Fan Surface Exhibition in 2017. Won second prize in the Preparatory Art Exhibition for the 19th CPC National Congress in 2017. In 2018, his works were selected by China Post to be issued as stamps, and at the same time, commemorative stamps were issued in countries such as the United States, Germany, Netherlands, and Italy. His works have been published in special interviews in newspapers such as Guangming Daily, Culture China News, People's Public Security News, China Legal Daily, Hebei Daily, Hebei Political and Legal Affairs News, Chinese Calligraphy and Painting News, Yanzhao Metropolis News, and Guohua Painter. The painter is indifferent to fame and wealth and only gives his works to those who appreciate them.
