Personal Profile

Song Huiqing (born 1974), native of Jinzhou City, Hebei Province, is a painter. Since childhood, he has loved painting and, under the guidance of Mr. Yan Tingxuan, thoroughly studied the芥子园画谱 (Mustard Seed Garden Manual of Painting). Later, he traditionally studied renowned masterpieces passed down through history, absorbing the essence of predecessors. He first learned from masters such as Qingteng, Baiyang, Qi Baishi, and Zhang Daqian, then studied under Mr. Wang Xuetao, Jia Baomin, Lu Yunian, Li Xiaoming, and others. He came to understand that following nature as teacher, achieving inner resonance, and letting painting evolve with the times are immutable principles. Therefore, he intensified sketching from life, seeking innovation within tradition, hoping to achieve success.
